The Research Partnership

The goal of the Research Partnership for NYC Schools is to fill a current void in the research infrastructure for NYC schools.  Missing at present from the city’s infrastructure are the following:

  • a vehicle for independent analysis on critical questions concerning education practice and policy;
  • a mechanism to provide access to the various data that can address these questions;
  • a source of consistent non-partisan periodic reports on school performance; and
  • a team of independent researchers working on an ongoing basis to provide indepth guidance and evaluation to the Department of Education and public on what elements of educational reform initiatives are providing positive outcomes.

All these needs can be met by the formation of the Research Partnership for NYC Schools. Currently, the Research Partnership is in its development phase. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the Research Partnership.
